Joshua Sofaer

Joshua Sofaer is the artist who came up with the idea for Name in Lights. His work is concerned with modes of collaboration and participation.

Often with an irreverent use of humour, he plays with established forms of production, appropriating and reconfiguring the chat show, competition, lecture, or museum display.

He acts as curator, producer or director of a broad range of projects, including large-scale events, intimate performances, and publications.


Fierce!

Fierce! based in Birmingham, is one of the UK’s most significant independent producers.

Established in 1997, the Fierce! Festival has become one of the most talked about festivals of contemporary live and performance art in Europe. Aside from the festival, Fierce produces national tours of international significance featuring the work of some of the most cutting edge artists around; the Mirage Film Festival and the Metapod programme of digital art.
