The competition to find the person whose name will be emblazoned in lights opened on 1st March 2007, and will close on 17th April 2007. During this period you can submit the name of the person you wish to nominate and up to 150 words saying why you think that person should be chosen.

Remember, you can nominate yourself, someone you know, or even someone well known - it’s entirely up to you!

The winning name will be created in massive illuminated letters and will be installed on the top of Birmingham’s iconic Central Library. It will be officially switched on the evening of 18th May.

It will remain in place for all to see until mid-June 2007 and will form the centrepiece of the Fierce! Festival.
