What?

Have you ever dreamed of seeing your name in lights?

Or does someone you know deserve to have their name in lights?

Now’s your chance to make it happen.

Name in Lights is a competition to find a name that will be created in giant illuminated letters and installed on a prominent UK landmark building.

You can enter yourself or someone else, alive or dead. Send us your chosen name and up to 150 words as to why you want to see that name in lights and we will enter you into the competition.

A panel of judges including advertising guru Trevor Beattie, cultural commentator Mark Lawson and celebrity interviewer Alison Hammond will then choose the winner from the names and reasons submitted.

The winning name will then be fabricated as a massive illuminated sign beaming out across the city, from Birmingham Central Library.

Name in Lights is a Fierce! Festival 10th anniversary commission to artist Joshua Sofaer, who devised the concept for the competition and installation.
